Fourth Nine Weeks
Stations should include:
Writing: Narrative - instructions & rubric on 4th nine weeks topic page
Technology: Achieve3000 - Students will use computers/iPads to complete this station. They will login and read a non-fiction article and complete the questions that follow along with it.
Fluency: Students can work together on a reader's theater or time each other on 1 minute readings in the blue fluency folders (located on the top of my desk).
I Can (take for a grade): Create a worksheet or activity that matches with the standard of the week. You can use any resource book in the classroom or a website like teacherspayteachers. Most reading resource books are located in the cabinet above the sink.
Meet w/Teacher: work on various standards, writing conference, or fluency. You may use the scholastic news articles in the filing cabinet for small group non-fiction reading time.
Read to Self: Have students read AR and Summarize
- Time Permitting when Narratives are finished ... Holes then Poetry

Mon 3/23 Report Cards go home. Have Mr. Cracraft print off the report cards for you. I have already filled in all grades & comments.
Week of March 30th: Compare & Contrast the treatment of similar themes.

Tues 3/31 Tiger Town at 8:30. Please see team for the schedule change plan to follow.
Wed. 4/1 Accelerated Reader 9:00am and Celebration of Learning (not sure of time - afternoon 12 or 12:30). You will most likely keep homeroom the whole day or switch on a shortened schedule. You will give awards to students during the celebration of learning - talk with my team about what this will look like. I am thinking you will give two reading and two writing awards (one for each block). I think it would be great if you picked the students who are working the hardest for you.
